Paint Your Own Piece 101 Workshop

Interested in transforming your current furniture, but don't know where to begin? This workshop is for you! No prior experience necessary, so its perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike!

Bring your own small piece of furniture & our certified instructors will teach you how to properly prep, paint and finish your piece using the various Fusion Mineral Paint products we stock. Learn what prep, paint and finishes are best for the specific substrates and woods that you may come across.  We'll also share our expertise offering helpful tips and best practices along the way so you leave with the knowledge and confidence to tackle more projects on your own. 

Project pieces must be approved in advance due to size and time constraints.  Please email a photo to farmhouseonmain@yahoo.com. Examples of pieces of furniture that work well for this workshop are: a small side table, shelf, bench, chair, stool, 2 drawers for a dresser or doors from a cabinet.  Some pieces like laminate, melamine or certain types of wood (like mahogony) may require application of an extra product prior to class. If this applies to your piece, we will guide you through pre-class prep requirements one-on-one over the phone or via email (whichever works best for you). Any repairs (filling of holes, gouges, chipped veneer, etc.) must be done prior to class.

Cost of the class is $90.00 and includes 1 pint of paint that is yours to keep and use of all our shop materials (brushes, sand paper etc.) during the workshop. As with all of our workshops, you'll also receive 10% off all Fusion products the day of the workshop so its a good day to stock up. Lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
